1.What you get
Sections 1 to 7 cover the 3-session program. Premium has its own terms in section 8. Sections 9 and 10 cover both.
- 3 one-on-one coaching sessions with Dave Wolovsky (EffortWise), 45 minutes each, on Zoom.
- The "Reverse Interviewing" eBook and the 6-step interview checklist, sent after session 1. You keep them whether or not you continue.
- This is coaching. I'm not a recruiter or an employment agency. I don't contact employers on your behalf, refer you to jobs or place candidates.
- I don't guarantee you a job. I don't promise that you'll get an offer, a higher salary or any other particular result. What happens in your search depends on you, the roles you go after and the companies.
2.Prices and payment
All prices are in US dollars.
- $1 start: nothing is charged when you book. Your card is saved. At the end of session 1, you decide whether to continue. If you do, $599 is charged to your saved card during the call: $1 for session 1 plus $598 for sessions 2 and 3. If you don't, you're not charged.
- Upfront: $499 for all 3 sessions, paid when you book. There's no decision point after session 1.
By booking the $1 start, you authorize me to charge your saved card $599 if you choose to continue, and the $49 no-show fee if it applies (section 4).
3.Your commitment
If you choose the $1 start, you agree when you book to attend session 1 and to decide at the end of it whether to continue.
4.Scheduling, rescheduling and no-shows
- You can reschedule any session at no cost with at least 24 hours' notice.
- With the $1 start, if you miss session 1 without 24 hours' notice, a $49 no-show fee is charged to the card you saved when you booked.
- If you miss session 2 or 3 without 24 hours' notice, that session counts as used. A used session isn't a completed one, so the No-Offer Refund no longer applies.
- If you're late, the session still ends at its scheduled time.
- Sessions 2 and 3 must be completed within 30 days of session 1. Sessions not used by then expire.
- If I need to cancel a session, we reschedule at no cost to you, and your 30-day deadline moves by the same number of days.
5.Other refunds
- With the $1 start, nothing is charged unless you continue, so there's nothing to refund if you stop after session 1.
- The $599 and the $499 upfront payment are refundable only under the No-Offer Refund (section 6).
6.The No-Offer Refund
6.1 How it works
If you meet every condition below, and 3 qualifying interview processes end without an offer within 6 months after session 3, I'll refund everything you paid for the program.
This is a refund of what you paid me for coaching. It is not a promise that you'll be hired.
6.2 Conditions
- Complete all 3 sessions within 30 days of session 1 (longer if I had to move a session; see section 4).
- Each qualifying process is a separate role where you have at least one interview with the hiring manager during the window. The hiring manager is the person the role reports to, or a panel that includes them. These don't count:
- Recruiter or HR screens
- Recorded one-way video interviews
- Interviews held before session 3
- Interview in good faith, for roles you would accept if offered.
- Forward me the email that schedules each hiring-manager interview, such as the calendar invite or confirmation.
- Before each hiring-manager interview, email me your written prep: the likely questions, a short answer to each, and your questions for the hiring manager. Send it at least 24 hours before, or as soon as the interview is scheduled if that's later.
- Within 48 hours after each hiring-manager interview, send me a quick note on how it went. Writing or a voice memo is fine.
- Tell me the outcome of each process when you learn it.
6.3 When a process ends without an offer
- You receive a rejection, or
- The company doesn't respond for 30 days after your last interview, and you followed up in writing at least twice.
A process doesn't count if you withdraw from it, skip or decline a next round, or stop replying to the employer.
A process that's still open when the window ends doesn't count.
6.4 What counts as an offer
- A written offer of employment for the role, from the company or its recruiter. A verbal offer counts once it's confirmed in writing.
- An offer counts even if you turn it down.
- Any offer during the window, from any process, means the No-Offer Refund doesn't apply.
- If a company withdraws an offer before you accept it, that process counts as ending without an offer.
6.5 How to claim
Email [email protected] within 14 days after the window ends, listing your processes. I'll check them against the invites, prep and notes you sent.
In your claim, confirm that you didn't receive an offer during the window.
I rely on what you tell me.
Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days.
6.6 Limits
- One refund per person.
- The refund is the full remedy under this section.
7.Negotiation bonus
- If you get an offer during the refund window, my Salary Negotiation package is free: a 60-minute session plus a 30-minute follow-up, normally $249.
- This comes with both the $1 start (once you continue) and the $499 upfront package.
- Book it within 14 days of receiving the offer, ideally before you reply to the company.
- Negotiation results depend on the company. I can't guarantee a higher offer, and you decide what to ask for.
- The bonus has no cash value and can't be transferred.
9.Recording and privacy
- With your permission, sessions are recorded on Zoom so you have notes.
- I may use de-identified themes from sessions in my writing. I never use your name, your employer, or details that identify you.
- You can opt out of either at any time by telling me.
10.Other
- My general site terms at effortwise.com/terms also apply. If they conflict with these terms, these terms control.
- Testimonials on my pages are from real clients. Their results aren't a promise of yours.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
